My Approach: Purpose-Driven, Student-Centered

My mission is clear:
Support your teen in developing essential skills, like self-awareness, resilience, communication, and goal-setting, so they can live a life aligned with their passions and potential.

I believe in a learning experience that:

✅ Strengthens motivation, growth mindset, and self-understanding

✅ Builds real-world skills like writing, speaking, critical thinking, and self-advocacy

✅ Stays personalized, compassionate, and iterative, with room to reflect and adapt

My goal is simple: Helping students transform self-doubt into self-leadership, connecting what they learn to who they are becoming.
— Ann Welch

A Note on Faith:
While my work is grounded in a Christian worldview, my approach honors each student’s journey, regardless of faith background. I create space for respect, curiosity, and purpose-driven exploration where every learner is welcome.

Education

Courses that Build Confidence, Communication, and Clarity

  • An English course that combines reading, writing, and public speaking with the D2A growth framework. Homeschoolers strengthen literacy skills while also learning how to reflect, make wise choices, and share their voice with confidence.

  • A practical, future-planning course that helps homeschool students prepare for the transition beyond high school. Students explore values, goals, and decision-making while gaining tools for organization, resilience, and self-awareness, skills they’ll use in college, career, and life.

  • A pilot class beginning September 23, 2025, this course uses the biblical story of Joseph (Genesis 37–50) to guide teens through themes of identity, resilience, forgiveness, and purpose. Through reading, writing, and discussion, students connect timeless truths with modern challenges, discovering how faith and wisdom can shape their personal journey.

Coaching

Personalized Support for Motivation, Organization, and Confidence

  • Some teens don’t just need instruction. They need a partner to help them navigate the challenges of school and life. Through Dreamer to Achiever (D2A) coaching, I work one-on-one with teens who struggle with organization, motivation, and follow-through to help them succeed.

    • Practical strategies for staying organized and managing time

    • Tools for motivation that help students push past procrastination

    • Encouragement and accountability to follow through on goals

    • Confidence-building support to reduce stress and increase independence

Curriculum

Resources That Equip Students for Growth and Confidence

  • In addition to teaching and coaching, I create faith-aware, future-ready curriculum designed to help teens connect learning with life. My materials integrate the Dreamer to Achiever (D2A) framework, blending reading, writing, reflection, and discussion with tools for building confidence and purpose.

  • My first published curriculum, available for purchase beginning September 20, 2025, uses the biblical story of Joseph (Genesis 37–50) as a lens for exploring themes of identity, resilience, and decision-making. The course combines reading, writing, and public speaking with life skills that prepare students for challenges beyond high school.
